The Cayuga Waterfront Trail, a project
of the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Ithaca,
will enhance Ithaca's quality of life and contribute to our
local economy. This 6-mile hard-surface trail will allow rollerbladers,
bikers, strollers, wheelchairs, runners and walkers to travel
and eercise along the shores of our beautiful Cayuga Lake. The
trail will begin at the Tompkins County Visitor's Center, loop
through Stewart Park, skirt alongside the water in front of
Farmers' Market, the Cornell Boathouse and Inlet Island, then
loop through Cass Park and follow the lake to Treman Marine
Park. $200,000 in funds are needed from the Ithaca community
to complete the project (the remaining $1.3-$1.8 million
comes from a variety of grants).
With your help, Maxie's Bake Sale raised $1,750 in pure profit
for the Cayuga Waterfront Trail. How did we do this? Guests
purchased a $5 dessert and the money went straight to the trail,
because Maxie's donated the dessert! It's so SWEET what we can
do together! Thank YOU!
Check out the Cayuga Waterfront Trail website.
Maxie's Supper Club and Oyster Bar greatly believes in the
power of community involvement and the enrichment and mutual
